I had non-incision double eye surgery, epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty at Apgujong Seoul Plastic Surgery. My eyes couldn’t open after I finished surgery but got a little better the next day. Although I did the suture method, it felt a bit like the cutting method as the swelling made me feel very uncomfortable. However the thought of looking good after the surgery gave me strength to keep on persevering.
Initially I wanted for only a rhinoplasty but after consultation I decided on having double eyelid surgery as well. The doctor explained how I often used my forehead muscles to open my eyelids which will eventually cause deeper forehead wrinkles. I should correct the strength of my eyelids to prevent this problem.
My friends always commented that I have a sunken face, i.e. the lack of fat volume. I have a rather slim body but also unfortunately a rather sunken face as well. I made up my mind to put on some weight to be able to maximise the fat graft surgery. After the surgery, I wasn’t too swollen but felt myself looking more three dimensional and not so flat at the face area.
On the day of the surgery, both eyes are red after the surgery After my surgery, my recent pictures taken are all so lovely and bright without having to specifically open my eyes wide Although I don’t think I look as beautiful as a celebrity, but I definitely look much better than before my surgery. My friends also complimented on my good looks, which I cannot help but to beam with delight.
It's been a year since I had my facial contouring surgery and I am doing well without any infection or pain from the surgery. There isn't any major swelling left and I haven't been doing the follow up checkups since my schedule has been so busy. I did facial contouring surgery on my zygoma, jaw and chin, as well as eye and nose revisions. I wanted a natural Barbie doll face line and I thought if I did all the surgeries together, I could bargain for a better price. Whenever I tell people I did bone surgery, I get questioned if there are side effects during eating or opening of the mouth, and if I still feel any numbness around the chin area. I feel as normal as any other person and yet much more confident post-surgery. Unless the surgery goes really wrong, side-effects rarely happens. My only advice to people is that if you had time to divide the surgeries, you should consider doing the facial contouring first then eyes and nose after. That way the initial suffering wouldn't be so bad. But all in all after one year.
I am a 22 year old, college student. I have typical Asian eyes without double eyelids. My image looks dull and unattractive before double eyelid surgery. The results came out so natural even my friends sometimes got confused. Lol! They said they felt as if my double eyelids had been originally with me! I think I am quite lucky that my swelling went down really fast and settled down quickly too. For now, no more words are needed because my photos will tell you everything. I hope this will help all the young people out there make a more informed decision.
